Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Enigneer to assist with upgrading the Lease Finance Data Warehouse (LF DW). You will play a crucial role in upgrading data components, ETL processes, and tooling, following the upgrade of our underlying OLTP platforms. This position involves hands-on design and implementation, ensuring minimal disruption across the platform while delivering high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design migration approaches for components impacted by the platform upgrade.
  • Ensure alignment with the chosen approach to minimize downstream effects.
  • Implement agreed designs for data migration and integration.
  • Participate in peer reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Build production-quality components to ensure the stability and scalability of the data warehouse.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server (preferably 2019).
  • Advanced T-SQL skills, with a proven ability to write complex functions and stored procedures.
  • Experience in designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt or similar ETL tools.
  • A successful track record delivering data solutions in the financial services sector.
  • Expertise in data modelling, integration, and database systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum/Atlassian tooling).
  • Excellent communication skills to explain designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
