Data Migration Lead

Immediate Start - Initial 6-month contract

The Data Migration Lead will play a critical role in integrating acquired entities onto a unified ERP platform. Reporting to the Project Manager, this hands-on position involves leading data mapping, transformation, and validation activities to ensure seamless migration of financial operations.

By collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging advanced SAP tools, you will help enhance data integrity, streamline processes, and support the strategic growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee data migration activities for SAP solutions, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to address resource constraints and align migration plans across multiple projects.
  • Conduct data migration meetings and provide weekly updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress and addressing challenges.
  • Work with IT, finance, and external vendors to define data migration strategies and gather requirements.
  • Perform detailed data analysis, addressing inconsistencies, and implementing corrective actions for quality assurance.
  • Design and execute data mapping, transformation, and validation processes for accurate ERP integration.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including migration plans, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct rigorous testing to ensure migrated data meets integrity and compliance standards.
  • Lead workshops with acquired business teams to align on data requirements and specifications.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, escalating critical issues as necessary.

What We're Looking For

  • Expertise in SAP data migration tools (e.g., SAP Data Services, SAP SDI, SAP Migration Cockpit).
  • Proven ability to address data quality challenges and define corrective measures.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Broader understanding of data strategies in non-SAP systems complementary to SAP landscapes.
  • Experience in data lifecycle management and Information Lifecycle Management strategies.
