Are you an experienced Data Subject Matter Expert (Data SME) with a passion for data governance and ServiceNow?Join this company on a transformative IT implementation project where your skills in data management, quality control, and governance frameworks will be pivotal in driving project success and setting new data standards.They’re looking for a data specialist who can not only maintain data accuracy and integrity but also create robust data governance structures that align with our organisational goals.Location: UK, starting Jan 25, Contract Length: 9-12 months, £550 per day outside IR35 Why This Role?As a Data SME, you’ll take on a leadership role in defining data standards, ensuring data consistency, and building a data governance framework that will have a lasting impact on the project. This role is a perfect fit for someone with a deep understanding of ServiceNow’s ITSM module and a strong commitment to data quality. Here, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, empowering teams to adopt best practices and making a tangible impact on data-driven decision-making.Key Responsibilities
  • Data Governance & Quality Management: Develop and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project standards.
  • ServiceNow Data Management: Configure ServiceNow to support data management best practices, including data structures, workflows, and integration with other systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Training: Provide guidance and training on data standards and governance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project data needs.
  • Risk Management & Continuous Improvement: Identify data-related risks and continuously refine data management practices to ensure the highest quality and streamlined operations.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience: 7+ years as a Data SME, including 5+ years in ServiceNow data management (ITSM module), with a proven track record in data governance and data quality management.
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of data management practices within ServiceNow, proficiency in data governance tools, and strong data quality monitoring capabilities.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with an eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
