Leading Commercial Bank seeks their first Data Steward.

Location: London (3 days p/w in the office)

Salary: £80,000

This well-established EU bank has a strong UK presence and a commitment to customer-focused, sustainable growth. This role sits within their Risk function and is crucial in maintaining a robust risk management framework.

As a Data Steward, you will bridge the gap between Risk and Data Governance, ensuring data quality and reliability across risk reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing and championing data governance frameworks within the Risk function
  • Working closely with Credit Risk teams to enhance data quality and ownership
  • Mapping data lineage for key risk reports and outcomes
  • Preparing and presenting materials for data governance forums
  • Training stakeholders on data governance best practices

Required Experience

  • Background in Banking Risk (particularly Credit Risk)
  • Minimum 1 years' experience in data governance within financial services
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and data quality principles
  • Basic SQL or programming knowledge for understanding report logic and data lineage
  • Experience in stakeholder management and presenting to senior audiences
