A global Publishing firm are currently undertaking a transformation program to optimise key systems, with a focus on data and analytics.

They are Subject Matter Experts and platform owners for consumer data, eCRM, analytics, and business intelligence. As part of a collaborative digital expert community, the team works together to deliver outstanding services to our users and drive commercial success.

Responsibilities

  • Build and support data pipelines, ensuring the smooth running of existing pipelines and integrating new datasets.
  • Work closely with data product managers to understand their requirements and deliver robust and usable datasets and tools.

Essential

  • Programming experience in Python
  • Confident working with APIs and coding/scripting pipelines to surface and transform data into analysis-friendly assets using technologies like BigQuery or Amazon Redshift
  • Experience in SQL (Postgres, T-SQL, MySQL, etc.) and the ability to interpret large datasets
  • Strong focus on quality control and testing
  • Effective communication across the organization, making complex and technical information accessible to non-technical audiences
  • Time management skills, including the ability to manage your workload efficiently and maintain regular communication with senior team members on project development

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Looker, Power BI, Google Data Studio
  • Experience with R
  • Web analytics technologies like Google Analytics/Firebase to design end-to-end data solutions that provide comprehensive digital insights
  • Understanding of cloud technology (AWS, Google)
