Role Overview:• Job Title: IBM Mainframe SQL DBA / Database Administrator• Location: Remote • Contract Type: Contract • Duration: 06 months initially, with high potential for extension• Sector: Telecom

Key Responsibilities:• Manages and administers the physical and technical aspects of database systems, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection. • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installation and maintenance of the database system, installation of upgrades and patches, performance and capacity monitoring/management, and security compliance. • Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. • Potential interaction with clients (internal or external) in order to understand and meet requirements for the delivery of services related to database products.Required Skills & Experience:• Must have completed an IBM Mainframe (DB2, IMS etc) to MS SQL database/data migration (or similar so DB2 to SQL)• Must have experience with SSMA (SQL Server Migration Assistant) and ADF (Azure Data Factory) • Ability to script in Python• Ideally active SC Cleared but not essential
