Are you a KDB+ expert looking for a business-facing role at the forefront of financial markets? We're working with a leading global financial institution to find a proactive, analytically minded professional to join their front-office trading team, driving impactful data solutions for Fixed Income and FX trading.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to work on a dynamic team responsible for building and managing data pipelines to deliver insights that inform trading strategies. You'll work closely with sales, traders, quants, and e-trading teams, translating business requirements into actionable solutions.

You'll take ownership of data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy, validation, and visualisation of raw data, creating insights such as trade statistics, hit ratios, and client analytics. You'll also play a key role in evolving their KDB+ platform, while contributing to Python-based visualisation and analytics.

What We're Looking For
  • Essential Skills:
    • Extensive experience with KDB+ (including Q queries, pipeline management, and performance optimisation).
    • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders in a front-office environment.
    • Strong analytical mindset with experience in cleaning, validating, and interpreting data.
  • Desirable Skills:
    • Exposure to Python for visualisation and analytics (e.g., PyKX).
    • Business knowledge of Fixed Income, FX, or related trading areas, with familiarity in RFQs and trade flows.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of end-to-end KDB+ data pipelines to support trading and reporting.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions, delivering high-impact insights.
  • Collaborate with sales, trading, and quants to ensure solutions meet front-office demands.
  • Work on the integration of Python-based visualisations with KDB+ data pipelines.
  • Be a proactive partner to stakeholders, contributing to discussions, presenting ideas, and driving actionable plans.
