SENIOR DATA ENGINEERLONDON, CURRENTLY FLEXIBLE / REMOTE / HOMEWORKINGUP TO £85,000As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be working on data platforms for this successful consultancy. You will be part of a high-performing engineering squad so will remain hands-on to further develop the platform and team members.THE COMPANY:It has only been in the last few years that this company has invested in their data function which has massively impacted the growth of the business. They have grown their data department massively in Data Engineering. The new engineering team's responsibility is to take the data platforms to the next level for their clients, driving modern ways of working including software principles, testing, CI/CD etc.THE ROLE:As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be taking ownership of the current data platforms. It will be beneficial if you have worked within a Software Background to understand the data coming in and to work with all stakeholders across the businesses to facilitate their needs.
You will be working with other strong engineers to choose new technologies to further develop the platforms, analyzing which best fits their needs. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:The ideal Senior Data Engineer will have:
- Worked in a Software Engineering setting.
- Strong Python coding skills including testing principles (unit testing, TDD/BDD)
- Experience working with Spark and Terraform
- An understanding of cloud architecture
