- Ensure SQL performance tuning, indexing, and query optimisation for large datasets.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to align project goals and resolve challenges.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and adherence to governance frameworks.
- Work directly with database technologies, troubleshoot migration issues, and implement solutions.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale database migrations (Access to SQL Server, cloud migrations, SharePoint integration).
- Expert-level SQL skills - T-SQL, SSIS, stored procedures, database administration.
- Strong ETL background - Experience designing and managing data transformation pipelines.
- Cloud knowledge - Experience with Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or other cloud-based database solutions is highly desirable.
- Public Sector Experience - Previous experience working in Local Government, DDAT, or highly regulated environments is a strong advantage.
- Project Exposure - Comfortable working in agile environments, with a strong ability to engage with senior stakeholders and external vendors.
- A high-impact contract role on a critical Local Government transformation programme.
- Hybrid working - 1 day a week in London Bridge.
- Competitive day rate of £450/day (Inside IR35).
- 3-month rolling contract with strong potential for extension.
