Workday Data Consultant - SAP - Remote Working - Inside IR35

Our client are currently looking to hire a Workday Data Consultant - SAP to join the team on a remote working contract basis.

In this role your expertise will contribute to efficient data movement, transformation, and loading processes, as well as data governance.

Responsibilities:
  1. Data Integration and ETL Development:
    • Create and optimise data workflows, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  1. Data Quality and Governance:
    • Work closely with data stewards to improve data quality across the organisation.
  1. Data Modelling and Mapping:
    • Define data models, mappings, and transformations to meet business needs.
    • Ensure alignment with data governance policies and standards.
  1. Performance Tuning and Optimisation:
    • Identify bottlenecks and optimise data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  1. Error Handling and Troubleshooting:
    • Implement error handling mechanisms to handle data exceptions and failures.
    • Troubleshoot issues related to data integration, transformation, and data quality.
  1. Documentation and Training:
    • Document technical specifications, data mappings, and ETL processes.
    • Provide training and support to end-users and other team members.
Skills:

  • Fluent English both spoken and written
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with a focus on data integration, ETL development, and data quality
  • Knowledge of SAP HCM/SAP Payroll and Workday data models
  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs
  • Familiarity with Nested Schema (JSON/XML)
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of HANA SQL and ability to write complex SQL queries and procedures
