Market Rate (Inside IR35)

My client, in the capital markets sector, are looking for a senior data architect, who will be responsible for creating a data strategy across Front and Back Office. The expectation will be to document and understand the current data architecture, create a future state design and roadmap to get there. The strategy needs to consider data governance, categorisation, tooling and data platforms.

Responsibilities on the role-

  • Documentation and categorisation of the firm?s enterprise data
  • Designing data strategy, including governance
  • Design of enterprise data platform
  • Mentor team with data architecture knowledge
  • Contribute to the department Cloud strategy


Skills and Experience required for this position

  • Substantial experience as a data architect
  • Experience migrating and building enterprise data platforms in AWS
  • Background in data development or engineering
  • SQL
  • Knowledge of the full trade lifecycle
  • Self-starter and keen to drive initiatives to completion
  • Keen intelligence and problem-solving ability
  • Good communication/teamwork skills

The below are desirable and would be very beneficial for the candidate-

  • Financial services domain knowledge
  • Postgres / Aurora
  • Spring, SpringBoot, JPA, Hibernate
  • Maven, Jenkins
