Data Engineer/DWH Developer - London - Hybrid - £55k - £70k

My client is a well established wealth management firm who continue to expand year on year. They are now looking for 2 Data Engineers to join their Data Warehousing team. In this time you will join on a large Data Warehousing project, which will involve uplifting and developing my clients existing data warehouse. This is a very big project, and will be a large focus of your role, amongst various other business initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Uplifting and redeveloping existing ETL processes to ingest source data from different systems
  • Ensure seamless integration of data from systems into the unified data warehouse
  • Extensive usage of on-prem technologies, work with T-SQL and SSIS primarily
  • Performance optimisation, ensuring the flexibility and scalability of the data warehouse
  • Resolve any issues, and ensure the DWH can handle the increasing data volumes and user demands it is facing
  • Extensive testing and validation of the performance of ETL processes and the data warehouse, and maintaining technical documentation
  • Collaborating with various technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business

What do I need to apply

  • Solid, recent experience in SQL & T-SQL programming, and SSIS for ETL
  • Scripting experience in C#, PowerShell and/or Python
  • Strong on Data Warehousing - must have worked on designing, developing, and implementing Data Warehouse solutions with a focus on data integration
  • Data mapping experience
  • Financial services experience (desirable)
  • WhereScape Red experience (desirable - definitely not essential at all)
