Robert Half are assisting a market leading financial services organisation to recruit an Data Engineer on an initial 6 month contract basis - outside IR35

Role

  • The Data Engineer will design, develop, and optimise data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake and DBT.
  • Build scalable, efficient data models to support business analytics and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
  • Migrate and transform large data sets to Snowflake while ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Automate and monitor ETL processes, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and transformation issues.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and documentation.

Profile

  • The Data Engineer will have proven experience with Snowflake (data warehousing, performance tuning, and optimisation).
  • Advanced proficiency in DBT (development, testing, and deployment of data transformations).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data modelling techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data ecosystem tools.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
