THE COMPANY

This company is a start-up in the music streaming space, they have raised millions for funding and are preparing to go live in the new year. They have signed over 40 mil songs already and are on track to acquire 150 million by next year. They are looking for a London based data engineer to join the team and be passionate about data and the work they do.

THIS ROLE

As a Data Engineer, you will be…

  • Designing and developing scalable and reliable pipelines to ingest and store data from various sources
  • Working closely with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions
  • Leading and guiding less experienced data engineers, providing technical leadership and sharing best practices.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering
  • Utilising cloud platforms specifically GCP
  • Utilising best practices - CI/CD
  • Will still be relatively close to code and therefore have good Python and SQL skills
  • Experience with utilising Terraform, Airflow, Beam & DBT
