THIS ROLE

As a Data Engineer, you will be…

Designing, developing, and maintaining their tools for data engineering
Managing resource allocation and budgeting within the data engineering function
Monitoring KPIs related to data processing, quality, and pipeline performance to drive continuous improvement
Eventually you will be building the data engineering team around you

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Over 5 years of experience in data engineering specifically with google cloud platform
Knowledge of Git and modem version control workflows
Experience in a start-up environment is highly preferred
Demonstrated experience in designing and building data pipelines and optimising existing data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
