Robert Half are assisting a market leading financial services organisation to recruit an Data Engineer on an initial 6 month contract basis - outside IR35
Role
- The Data Engineer will design, develop, and optimise data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake and DBT.
- Build scalable, efficient data models to support business analytics and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
- Migrate and transform large data sets to Snowflake while ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Automate and monitor ETL processes, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and transformation issues.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and documentation.
Profile
- The Data Engineer will have proven experience with Snowflake (data warehousing, performance tuning, and optimisation).
- Advanced proficiency in DBT (development, testing, and deployment of data transformations).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data modelling techniques.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data ecosystem tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
