Data Modeller (FSLDM,BIAN,FIBO) - Banking - London

Day rate: £550 - £650 inside IR35

Duration: 6 months

Hybrid: 2 days per week in office

My banking is looking for a Data Modeller to join the team on a contract basis. You will be responsible for adapting and governing the Group Data Domain Model and Group Data Model the Define and structure Business concepts and entity definitions to provide the basis for a common data language across the bank.

Key activities

  • Collaborates in the development of a Data Modelling centre of excellence
  • Collaborates in the definition, dissemination and execution of Data Modelling Framework and architecture
  • Provides support and advice as to best practises and way of working to support federated modelling teams in high pressure environments
  • Provides Ad hoc deep dive support to help remove modelling bottlenecks and accelerate teams delivery
  • Drives consistency in data modelling activities (e.g. CDM, LBM, PDM), and integrating metadata.
  • Support Data Management goals and activities
  • Establishes close collaboration with architecture and engineering functions
  • Acts as a Data Evangelist and assists Bank stakeholder at all levels to adopt the framework.

Key skills

  • Experience in developing conceptual, logical and physical data models, to support Business requirements.
  • Experience in developing enterprise models for OLTP, Analytics/AI/ML environments.
  • Working knowledge with data modelling tools such as ERStudio/EA Sparx, Collibra
  • Experience of metadata modelling, management and tooling
  • Evidence understanding of a logical model to drive physicalisations and associate the Gov and management control domains metadata
  • Experience implementing physical models for interfaces, data stores and/or cloud based solutions
  • Participation and experience of governing data models
  • Experience of working in Finance and using Reference Data Model e.g. BIAN, ISO20022, FIBO, FSLDM (preferred)
