What you'll do:
As a Senior GCP Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing top-tier data capabilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing robust backend systems, developing efficient data pipelines, implementing transformation processes, integrating data from various sources, building data lakes, optimizing performance, collaborating with product managers for superior product delivery, and documenting all processes for future reference.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract data from various sources and load it into Google Cloud environments.
- Implement data transformation processes, including data cleansing, normalization, and aggregation.
- Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support efficient data storage and retrieval in Google Cloud platforms.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, both on-premises and cloud-based.
- Build data lakes using Google Cloud services such as Big Query.
- Optimize data pipelines and queries for improved performance and scalability in Google Cloud environments.
- Work with product managers to ensure superior product delivery to drive business value & transformation.
- Document data engineering processes, data flows, and system configurations for future reference.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior GCP Data Engineer role will bring extensive experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)-based solutions. You should be proficient in the GCP platform, particularly in Data & AI services. Your experience should include designing, developing, deploying scalable cloud-based solutions using GCP services. You should be able to translate business requirements into technical specifications and have experience implementing and managing GCP networking configurations. Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management is essential, as is experience implementing security best practices to protect cloud infrastructure and data. The ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks is also crucial.
- Experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)-based solutions.
- Proficiency in the GCP platform, particularly in Data & AI services (e.g., BigQuery, DataProc, Cloud SQL).
- Experience designing, developing, deploying scalable cloud-based solutions using GCP services.
