Sonic Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect / Data Modeler for a 6-month contract role in London, offering a salary of £550-£600 per day.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Intercom's data structure and experience in designing scalable data models for analytics.
Key responsibilities include analyzing Intercom data, developing conceptual and physical data models, and collaborating with stakeholders to align the model with business needs.
Proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, and DBT is preferred, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in data modeling and design.

Intercom Architect / Data Modeler

6-month contract

£550-£600

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect / Data Modeler to design and implement a robust, scalable data model based on Intercom data, for a technology provider based in London. This role will involve close collaboration with data engineers, product managers, and business analysts to transform raw data into a well-structured, actionable model that supports analytics, reporting, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Understanding & Analysis: Analyze Intercom data (conversations, user profiles, events, tags) and document structure, dependencies, and data flows.
Data Model Design: Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models optimized for scalability and efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with product managers and engineers to align the model with business needs and existing infrastructure.
Documentation: Produce ERDs, data dictionaries, schema definitions, and clear technical documentation.
Implementation Support (Nice to Have): Assist engineers in implementing the model, ensuring data quality and integrity.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Strong expertise in Intercom's data structure (Must Have)
Data Modeling & Design: Experience in designing scalable, optimized data models for analytics and operational workflows.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, and DBT (Nice to Have)
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and ability to work cross-functionally.
Experience with event-based or real-time data modeling (Nice to Have)

Deliverables:

Blueprint of the Data Model (conceptual, logical, and physical models)
Detailed Documentation (ERDs, schema descriptions, data dictionaries)
Implementation Plan for engineering teams
Validation Reports ensuring data integrity and usability
