This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced data architect with specific expertise in Snowflake to join my client; a rapidly growing successful data consultancy based in the heart of London who are empowering organisations to to realise the full value of the Snowflake Data Cloud.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Cloud Technologies Expertise

  • Candidates with strong experience in cloud architecture, serverless solutions, and DevOps in AWS environments.

2. Data Architecture & Platforms

Key Area: Snowflake platform management and development. Candidates with specific Snowflake experience (platform design, implementation, and management), focusing on cost optimization and platform scalability.

3. Leadership & Team Development

Candidates with experience in leading or mentoring teams (including coaching junior developers), promoting best practices, and developing team members in tech-driven environments.

4. Infrastructure Design & Automation

Candidates who have implemented IaC and automated deployments using tools like Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Ansible.

5. Security & Access Control

Candidates experienced in building secure infrastructures, handling data privacy(especially PII), and implementing best security practices within cloud platforms.

6. Product Development & Integration

Key Areas: End-to-end product design, integration with third-party systems (e.g., NHS, Snowflake), developing custom toolkits for internal users. Candidates with a product-focused mindset who have developed or overseen the development of data-driven products, with experience in integrations and compliance, especially in regulated industries.

7. Optimization & Cost Efficiency

Key Areas: Cost reduction through architecture refinements, efficiency in data workflows. Candidates who have a track record of optimizing costs within cloud platforms or through architectural design, particularly in large-scale enterprise environments.

8. Data Analysis & Personalization

Key Areas: Analyzing complex datasets, developing personalized user experiences based on data, designing systems that scale with data volume. Candidates who have worked on building personalized systems based on big data andhave experience in data normalization, coding systems, and user personalization strategies.

9. Communication & Stakeholder Management

Key Areas: Communicating complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders, creating migration plans, and supporting user adoption. Candidates who excel in communicating technical concepts to business users andmanaging change across large organizations, especially with data-related platform shifts.

10. Programming & Technical Skills

Key Areas: Python, SQL

Candidates with strong programming skills, particularly in backend languages like Python, and experience working with databases and cloud services.

11. Industry-Specific Knowledge

Depending on the industry, candidates with specific experience in regulated industries like healthcare, FSI, or retail sector experience in large enterprise environments, is relevant.
