Job Title: BI Analytics EngineerReports to: BI Manager
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled BI Analytics Engineer to join my client's data team. In this role, you will play a key part in improving our reporting systems by building and optimizing data pipelines and infrastructure. This role focuses on enhancing the flow of data to provide actionable insights, with an emphasis on analytics engineering as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and optimization of data pipelines, focusing on integrating multiple software systems to improve reporting.
- Improve data flow, reporting processes, and data quality, ensuring internal systems and websites provide accurate and actionable insights.
- Take ownership of building and maintaining analytics infrastructure, optimizing it to scale with the company's needs.
- Improve reporting capabilities and occasionally build Power BI dashboards, with a primary focus on analytics engineering.
- Collaborate across teams to identify where data pipelines should go to optimize reporting and ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Mentor and work alongside a BI Analyst focusing on commercial-side reporting and other team members.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server and Python.
- Experience working with APIs and data orchestration tools.
- Experience with Power BI for model changes or distribution method adjustments is a plus.
- Familiarity with DBT and other orchestration tools is a nice-to-have.
