When it comes to working on mission critical projects, the central government have an abundance of opportunities for skilled individuals to make their mark on humanity. The most recent being a Lead Data Engineer position based in London, for technical individuals who specialise in Java. Please note Active SC Clearance is required.
What the role will consist of:
- Building scalable data pipelines with AWS Glue, PySpark, and Java-based microservices.
- Leveraging AWS services like S3, Glue, and Athena for cloud-native solutions.
- Writing complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval.
- Leading and mentoring a team of data engineers.
- Engaging with client stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Ideal candidate:
- 6+ years of data engineering experience.
- Strong skills in Java microservices, AWS Glue, and PySpark.
- Advanced SQL expertise.
- Leadership experience and excellent communication skills.
- Preferred: AWS certifications, familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
