Lead Data Engineer - London - £95,000

I am currently working with a market-leading organisation in the legal industry who are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join their team. The organisation are currently focused on the development of their Azure data platform. You will be responsible for leading on this project and orchestrating the workload of the data engineering function.

You will play a vital role in helping implement the organisations data strategy and transformation roadmap and will become the organisations SME on data related projects and best practice. This is an opportunity to join a team who are serious about the way that they use data and work within an organisation who are providing significant investment into all of their data teams.

This role is a healthy split of hands-on engineering work and team leadership. You will lead from the front and work to create a positive working culture where best practice and continuous improvement is celebrated.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas.

  • Lead a team of data engineers to create, develop and maintain the organisation data platform
  • Effectively co-ordinate engineering resources
  • Create and manage robust data pipelines
  • Develop the organisation data platform following architectural guidelines

To be successful in this role you will have.

  • Previous experience working in a Senior or Lead Data Engineer position
  • Strong experience working with the Azure Data Platform
  • Strong Databricks experience
  • Coding experience with Python/PySpark

This role is based out of the company's office in London where you will work collaboratively with other members of the engineering team on a hybrid basis. Some of the benefits included with the role are listed below
