OVERVIEW
We are partnering with a prominent investment company within the infrastructure sector, seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to help establish a data strategy and support long-term data-driven growth. With recent consulting insights highlighting the need for a robust data infrastructure, this role will be instrumental in building out a new data warehouse and scaling data capabilities across the organization.

This UK-based infrastructure investment firm specializes in long-term funding, development, and management of essential assets across sectors like transportation, healthcare, and renewable energy. Focusing on public-private partnerships (PPP) and private finance initiatives (PFI), it collaborates with public entities to develop and operate services vital to communities. Their strategy prioritizes stable, low-risk assets for predictable returns, connecting institutional investors with public infrastructure projects.
THE ROLE
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will: - Lead the build of a Snowflake data warehouse, working from an established architecture. - Collaborate closely with business-side stakeholders to optimize data usage and insights. - Oversee data pipeline and cloud infrastructure setup, with a long-term goal of expanding the data team. - Ensure best practices in data management and leverage CI/CD practices for scalability.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong experience with Snowflake and Python in data engineering roles. - Familiarity with Azure, Terraform, and dbt is highly desirable. - Previous experience working in smaller teams or SMEs with a hands-on, self-starting approach.
SALARY
- Up to £90,000 + benefits
