Role Overview

A Senior Data Engineer to join a small and dynamic data team looking to welcome a cutting-edge tech stack. You'll be responsible for driving the data engineering efforts, including an ongoing migration from on-premise SQL Server to Snowflake. This role will give you the opportunity to wear multiple hats and make a significant impact in the transition to a cloud-based data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Migration Project: Lead the migration from an on-premise infrastructure to Snowflake, keeping costs and timelines in check.
  • Tech Stack Development: Work within existing ETL framework (SSIS, OLAP cubes, SSRS, PowerBI) while contributing to the Snowflake, DBT, and Azure DevOps ecosystem.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with the data team and broader company to ensure the smooth development of the data platform.
  • Data Expertise: Provide SQL expertise and help guide best practices for data transformation and analytics.
  • Multi-Hat Role: Flexibility to work across various aspects of the data lifecycle, given the small team environment.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, BI Engineer, or Analytics Engineer within a small, dynamic team.
  • Expertise in SQL and experience working with ETL processes (SSIS, OLAP cubes, SSRS).
  • Hands-on experience with data migration from on-premise to Snowflake (knowledge of DBT is highly desirable).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and cloud-based infrastructures.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
