Senior Data Engineer - Global Insurance Organisation - Perm - Hybrid/City

Join a leading global P&C focused insurance organisation as a Senior Data Engineer working with cutting edge MS tools to develop and distribute data to the business.

Job Description

You will be responsible for the optimisation and evolution of how a global insurance organisation leverage their cutting-edge MS tech stack to efficiently ingest data from acquired businesses into core systems, making it distributable to the business.

As a senior you will be coaching and mentoring a small team of highly skilled data engineers, helping them to develop and upskill.

Day to day will involve but not be limited to the development of tools to automate data onto core systems, as well as designing and delivering automated ETL pipelines, and ensuring data is available for BI, and analytical tools used by the business.

Required Experience

It is critical that you have data engineering experience within a P&C insurance focused business with strong experience developing automated ETL pipelines, alongside advanced skills in Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and SQL. Any Python experience would also be highly beneficial.

It is also important that you bring a sound understand of data architectures and data management principles, as well as experience with Master Data Management Systems.

Communication skills are of paramount importance and the ability to confidently liaise with stakeholders at all levels, as this role will require collaboration with the business.
