Are you a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer? Do you have expertise in Power Platform: Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate, SQL, Azure SQL DB, and cloud data warehousing? Our client, a Central Government organisation, is looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer to join their warm and collaborative Data & Business Intelligence team.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering a range of outcomes to support the wider Technology Services teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing data products such as data warehousing, data models, reporting, and business applications at scale.
  • Utilising Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power BI, to deliver new business intelligence solutions and maintain existing ones.
  • Analysing data and providing insights to inform decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring high standards of data quality and governance are maintained across systems.
  • Providing day-to-day support and troubleshooting for stakeholders.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Strong SQL development skills and experience with transactional systems and business intelligence implementations.
  • Proficiency in Azure SQL DB, ADF, and Azure Storage.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Knowledge of data lake and cloud data warehousing, particularly Microsoft Fabric.
  • The ability to consult with stakeholders, manage expectations, and resolve issues.
  • The willingness to provide exceptional support and maintain business-critical data platforms.
  • Expertise in data modelling and design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control tools like GitHub.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT development using SSIS or Azure Data Factory.
  • Clearance requirement: Ideally SC Cleared
