Senior Data Engineer (Python AWS) Remote UK to £90k

Are you a tech savvy Data Engineer with strong Python coding skills?

You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on Data Engineer role as part of a friendly and supportive international team at a growing and hugely successful European car insurance tech company as they expand their UK presence; their platform enables an insurance quote to be made to the consumer within 60 seconds, using just 4 clicks.

As a Data Engineer you will bridge the gap between Data Scientists / Data Analysts and Software Engineers; from shaping the architecture and requirements, through to designing and building well engineered data pipelines and Data Warehousing solutions for data analytics and data science to support business growth in the UK using a modern tech stack that you'll be able to influence. You'll help lead the transformation by setting up best practices in areas like data modelling, performance optimisation and data governance.

Location / WFH:

About you:

  • You are an experienced Data Engineer with a expertise in batch, distributed data processing and near real-time data streaming pipelines using technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark, Data Bricks
  • You have experience in Data Lake / Big Data Analytics platform implementation in AWS
  • You have advanced Python coding skills
  • You have a strong knowledge of RDBMS, Data Warehousing, Data Modelling, SQL (Redshift, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
  • You have a good understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipeline management, IaC
