Lead Data Engineer

Location: Remote

Our rapidly growing client is seeking an experienced, organised Lead data engineer to join their passionate, insight driven team.

As Lead Data Engineer you will lead the data services across the company. Be a highly collaborative, a self-starter, with strong problem solving and analytical ability. You’ll be a strategic thinker that can build customer insights from data to help achieve marketing and sales goals.

Responsibilities:• Design, build, monitor, and optimize data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform for efficiency and cost savings.• Develop and orchestrate data workflows using Airflow and implement dimensional modeling in BigQuery.• Create dashboards and reporting tools using Looker Studio for internal and external stakeholders.• Collaborate with performance teams, clients, and analysts to enhance insights and streamline data processes.• Advocate for data as a product, ensuring documentation, accuracy, and continuous improvement.• Lead AI innovation projects by integrating LLM models into data pipelines to automate insights and improve operations.

Key Skills/Requirements:• Experience as a data engineer or in a similar role, with strong Python and SQL skills.• Skilled in building scalable, well-tested Python data pipelines with good coding practices.• Proficient in extracting data from REST APIs using tools like Adverity, Fivetran, and Airbyte.• Experience with data orchestration tools such as Dataform and Apache Airflow.• Strong communication skills, able to educate non-technical stakeholders on data solutions.• Forward-thinking, problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovation and data maturity.
