Lead Data Engineer! London, Hybrid (2-3 days on-site a week)

About the Role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work closely with key business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that support evolving business needs. You will play a crucial role in managing data models, optimising reporting, and ensuring data accuracy across various platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with deep technical expertise who thrives in an agile and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Manage and resolve complex data-related issues, ensuring system integrity.
  • Assess the impact of business changes on data models to mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with business analysts, architects, and developers to enhance data strategies.
  • Support MI teams by ensuring data is accurately represented in reports and dashboards.
  • Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive data excellence.

Key Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in SQL and ETL processes.
  • Strong expertise in MS-SQL Server, TSQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Python, and Data Lakes.
  • Experience in insurance MI or reporting, with a strong understanding of industry-specific data requirements.
  • Desirable skills: Data Warehousing, PowerShell, DevOps, Advanced Excel, Power Query, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in an MGA or insurance industry environment.
