SQL Developer - Insurance - SSIS / T-SQL / ETL / .NET / SSAS / SSRS

As a Data Analytics Specialist, you'll be instrumental in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to complex business challenges. You'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders to understand their needs and craft solutions that deliver real results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft, refine, and rigorously test SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract data from diverse source systems and platforms.
  • Contribute to the seamless roll-out of new SQL-based applications, addressing problem fixes and software enhancements.
  • Champion database best practices to enhance the operational reporting environment, proactively resolving issues raised by team members and stakeholders.
  • Implement ETL processes and other data movement requirements using SQL and SSIS.
  • Develop original and/or complex code in T-SQL/SQL, creating and optimizing SSIS packages.
  • Design and develop new SQL code as an integral part of the ETL process.
  • Enhance SQL procedures and Window services / .NET programs for data transformation and loading.
  • Develop stored procedures and functions using T-SQL/SQL.
  • Take ownership of data profiling, source-target mappings, ETL development, SQL tuning and optimization, testing, and implementation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research, or related analytics areas. Exceptional candidates with BA/BS degrees from top-tier academic institutions are also encouraged to apply.
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance analytics within the Lloyds Business, London/Bermuda Market (Commercial & Specialty Lines).
  • Expertise in advanced SQL and SSIS.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as PBI/Tableau/SSAS/SSRS is a plus.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proven track record of achievement, strong analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and a willingness to tackle challenging projects.
