We are selling our products in more than 15 countries across key sectors, from foundries and steelworks to green energy and the electric vehicle market.

We are experiencing a great interest and demand for our innovative manufacturing skills and are now looking for skilled Operators and Machine Technicians to join our growing team at our London based plant.

Machine Operator / Technician - The Role:

As an Operator or Machine Technician you are part of the manufacturing team whose responsibility is to produce and package our bespoke range of mica products to the highest quality. You will be responsible for managing our new battery fire protection lines.

Your day to day will be focused on running manufacturing machinery to deliver world-class quality and output. You will also be expected to perform tasks alongside this including engineering quality checks, output tracking, maintenance and packing.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Operate and program machines based on specifications laid out in engineering drawings, method sheets and job cards
Monitor the process, record operating data and complete quality inspections of parts and material
Review and adjust the different steps of the manufacturing process based on tests and process control information
Conduct simple scheduled maintenance on your machine
Operate measurement devices such as callipers, scales and gauges
Collaborate with the process engineers to manufacture prototypes and first-off production runs of material
Continuously improve our performance in safety, quality and output with help from the engineering team

Machine Operator / Technician - Skills, qualifications, and experience:

This role will suit a skilled operator or technician, with experience of working with machinery and who is now ready to step up and take responsibility for manufacturing process safety, quality and output.

Engineering college qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent background
Strong numeracy skills
Good communication skills
Basis computer skills
Team player but also happy to work independently
Proactive and self-motivated
Hands-on and eager to learn
Manual lifting of materials and products
A knowledge of lamination, stamping, laser cutting or punching processes would be an advantage
