We currently have a great opportunity with a Housing organisation for an Income Officer role on a permanent basis. Responsibilities of Income Officer- Manage rent and service charge accounts to maximise income collection.
- Handle resident queries regarding payments, arrears, and account balances.
- Take appropriate action on arrears cases, including legal proceedings when necessary.
- Provide financial advice and support to tenants regarding rent payments and benefits.
- Represent the organisation in court and at enforcement proceedings when required.
- Experience in income collection and arrears management within social housing.
- Strong knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and rent policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage a caseload effectively.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including MS Office and housing management software.
