Job Title: Working Foreman (Carpentry Background)
Project: Commercial Refurbishment
Job Overview:
My client is looking for an experienced Working Foreman with a strong carpentry background to join there team on a commercial refurbishment project. This role requires a hands-on leader who can oversee site operations, maintain high standards of quality, and ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small team of tradespeople and subcontractors on-site
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work plans
- Carry out carpentry tasks alongside the team, ensuring quality and accuracy
- Oversee daily site operations, including scheduling and coordination of work
- Monitor health and safety compliance and enforce site safety standards
- Ensure project timelines and targets are met
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Working Foreman or similar role on commercial projects
- Strong carpentry background with hands-on experience in refurbishment
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
