Job Title: Working Foreman (Carpentry Background)

Project: Commercial Refurbishment

Job Overview:
My client is looking for an experienced Working Foreman with a strong carpentry background to join there team on a commercial refurbishment project. This role requires a hands-on leader who can oversee site operations, maintain high standards of quality, and ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a small team of tradespeople and subcontractors on-site
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work plans
  • Carry out carpentry tasks alongside the team, ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Oversee daily site operations, including scheduling and coordination of work
  • Monitor health and safety compliance and enforce site safety standards
  • Ensure project timelines and targets are met

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Working Foreman or similar role on commercial projects
  • Strong carpentry background with hands-on experience in refurbishment
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
