Interim Commissioning Manager – Public Health

Brief:

One of our Local Authority clients requires an interim Commissioning Manager with subject matter expertise in substance misuse, smoking cessation and health check commissioning to join their well-established commissioning team.

As the interim Commissioning Manager, you will lead on the contract and performance management of the above services and undertake ongoing market development work to engage providers in council priorities and strategies. You will also complete government returns and maintain a positive and constructive relationship with key operational managers.

Essential experience required:

  • Must have demonstrable experience of commissioning and contract managing substance misuse, smoking cessation and health check services
  • Previously worked within a local authority and/or CCG
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • A qualification in Public Health would be ideal but isn’t essential
