Our client, a prominent organisation within the highways and streetworks sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Streetworks Coordinator to join their team. This is a contract role based in an office environment, primarily focused on managing streetworks on the highway network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing permitting applications within required timeframes in compliance with the Permitting Scheme Statutory Guidance
- Identifying potential for collaboration and conflicts in streetworks
- Assessing traffic management plans for works and events impacting the highway network
- Considering the impact of streetworks on network users
- Liaising with stakeholders, internal departments, utilities, and other highway authorities
- Ensuring streetworks impacts are understood and effectively managed
- Acting as a point of contact both internally and externally
- Chairing all Co-ordinator meetings
Job Requirements:
- Experience in coordinating streetworks
- Working knowledge of NRSWA regulations and Street Manager
- Proficient use of Symology system
- Understanding of traffic management plans and their impact
- Excellent communication skills for effective liaising with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Experience working within a similar role in the streetworks sector
