We have the perfect opportunity for you!People2people are looking for a proactive and dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join a fantastic team based in the central London flagship store. This role supports the Store Manager in all aspects of running the store, ensuring smooth daily operations, and taking charge when the Store Manager is absent.The ideal candidate will be focused on their own development, while also helping the team grow, with the ambition of eventually working towards a Store Manager role. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic retail environment while sharing their enthusiasm and passion for outdoor sports and activities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Store Representation: Uphold the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values, maintaining professionalism and setting a positive example for the team.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the team, ensuring staff coverage on the shop floor, delegating tasks, and supporting their development through coaching and training.
  • Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service by following established guidelines, addressing queries, and resolving complaints. Foster a customer-focused environment for the team.
  • Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, well-stocked, and adheres to company retail standards. Efficiently process deliveries and report any stock discrepancies.
  • Operational Support: Assist with key store operations such as till procedures, stock management, Health & Safety compliance, and opening/closing the store.
  • KPI and Sales Management: Learn how to analyse KPIs and collaborate with the Store Manager to improve store performance. Drive a performance-oriented approach to maximise sales.
Skills Needed to Apply:
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor the team.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role with the ability to handle customer inquiries and issues.
  • Basic computer, reading, writing, and numerical skills.
  • Organisational skills to handle scheduling, delegating tasks, and managing day-to-day operations.
