This company has over 500 stores globally alongside its onlinepresence, allowing it to acquire more than $30 billion in revenue, making thisrole and exciting global opportunity.Your new roleYou will be workingclosely with the senior procurement manager, supporting their daily indirectprocurement needs. As this company continues to grow, their need to manage theinternational and national HR and professional services' category plans havebecome vital to the success of the business. You will be responsible for

  • Maximising opportunities to leverage multi-divisional requirements to create larger pools of sourcing to increase savings.
  • Maintaining quality and service whilst increasing savings.
  • Ensuring contract compliance by implementing contractual terms and ensuring agreed terms are carried out.
  • The category manager is responsible for preparing HR & professional services category reports for their manager and the wider procurement team.
  • Sourcing innovative products, services and approaches to support a low-cost producer strategy.
  • Support the optimisation of £800m indirect spend. The successful candidates will undertake annual sourcing initiatives, delivering between £1 and £3 million in annual savings.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous experience in indirect buying across a variety of categories, preferable for HR & Professional services
  • Good working knowledge of MRP/APS systems
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel
  • CIPS certified is desirable but not required.
