Our Alarm Technical Support team are currently seeking an experienced technical support advisor who has proven experience of working with systems such as Paxton, Pyronix, Castle and Texecom, supporting clients and engineers on trouble shooting, navigating through menus and programming.

This is a great opportunity to diversify your Fire and Security engineering career into an office based role and utilise your extensive experience supporting our field engineers and customers.  If you are already in a similar role but only work with fire alarm systems,  CCTV or Intruder alarms this position will enable you to expand your knowledge on a range of products and become a subject matter expert on all our Fire and Security products.

Please note that this role is office based and can be located in Earlsfield, Birmingham or Swindon. All training will be conducted at our Head Office in Earlsfield.

What can you bring to Banham?

Your product knowledge of working with: - Pyronix, HikVision, Comelit, Paxton, BPT, EMS, HyFire, as well as a general knowledge of Alarms, CCTV, Fire, Access control and Entry systems will enable you to:

  • Liaise with customers and answer their technical queries via telephone and email to give advice and guidance for burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, access control and door entry systems.·
  • Liaise with Service, Maintenance and Installations departments, organising engineer visits if required to assist customers onsite.
  • Work with the Product Validation Manager on any new & upgraded products/services implementation to provide testing resource as and when required.
  • To give technical support and guidance to all Banham group engineers.
  • Confidently and patiently navigate customers through menu and programming changes remotely. 

As well as your technical expertise you will also bring:

  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Good level of administrative and IT skills - you will be working with multiple systems at any one time.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels from senior management to operational staff and engineers.
