GSL Education London are looking for a dedicated Science Technician to join a vibrant team at a client secondary school in Greenwich. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a laboratory setting and is committed to enhancing the educational experience of students.

Responsibilities of a Science Technician:

  • Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons.
  • Support the teaching and learning of science by assisting in practical experiments.
  • Maintain and organise the science laboratory, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
  • Assist teachers with the development and implementation of science lesson plans.
  • Provide technical support during science lessons and demonstrations.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of laboratory equipment and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the laboratory.

Requirements of a Science Technician:

  • Previous experience as a Science Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
  • Ability to support science lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
