Are you a creative and organized individual with a passion for supporting the arts? Do you enjoy working in a dynamic school environment where no two days are the same? We are seeking an Art Technician to join our thriving school in Newham, starting this January.

About the Role

As an Art Technician, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of our vibrant Art Department. You'll be responsible for maintaining the workshop and providing practical support to both students and staff. You will also collaborate with the Design and Technology (DT) Department to ensure shared spaces and resources are effectively utilized.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing materials, tools, and resources for lessons and workshops.
  • Maintaining and organizing the art workshop and storerooms.
  • Assisting students during practical activities, ensuring safe use of equipment.
  • Supporting teachers in the setup and delivery of lessons.
  • Monitoring and replenishing stock of art and DT supplies.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting in the creation and display of artwork around the school.
About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong interest in art and design (experience in a school setting is desirable).
  • Is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Has a good understanding of workshop tools and equipment.
