Power BI, SQL, Excel

Data Analyst is required by a thriving insurance organisation based in the heart of the city. This role will see you joining a growing MI and Analytics team working on a range of projects to support business-critical decision making. Liaising closely with stakeholders, you will be responsible for requirements analysis, data interpretation and the creation of creative and compelling data visualisation. The ideal candidate will come from either a computer science or data science background and have proven experience working within a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement reports in Power BI
  • Create user-friendly reports and dashboards and continuously improve them
  • Error analysis and testing of data consistency and data quality, as well as corresponding documentation
  • Work closely with technical and non-technical colleagues to successfully deliver projects

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a data-driven role with proven ability in using Excel and/or business intelligence
  • Good Power BI knowledge and the Power BI Stack
  • Strong SQL skills (data extraction and enrichment using advanced functions)
  • Solid foundational understanding of relational databases
  • Data quality and data exceptions handling
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Creative, resourceful and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
