Junior Data Analyst

Our client a management consultancy is looking for a Junior Data Analyst.  A newly created position offering the successful candidate the opportunity to shape this new area of the business as they navigate this exciting phase of growth.

Responsibilities:

• Manage data for business systems, including monitoring and auditing data quality

• Ensure compliance with data input processes

• Collect and cleanse data from business systems

• Perform exploratory data analysis and identify trends

• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations

• Produce and track key performance indicators, and manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and provide solutions

• Develop and support reporting processes

• Document data processes, methodologies and assumptions

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or related field

• Proficient in the Microsoft suite (e.g. Excel)

• In-depth knowledge of data visualisation tools, particularly Power BI

• Ability to present findings using non-technical language

• Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques

• Knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques

• Strong problem solving skills, using methodical and logical approaches

• Attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to carry out data quality control

• (Desirable) Proficiency in at least one programming language, e.g. Python, SQL
