Senior Data Analyst - General Ledger/Finance Transformation sought by leading investment bank based in Canary Wharf.

**Inside IR35 - 3 days a week onsite**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capability Building: Lead the development and implementation of core data analytics capabilities within our division. Define the strategic roadmap for data analytics initiatives and drive the execution of key projects to enhance our analytical capabilities.
  • Talent Development: Mentor, coach, and develop junior talent within the data analytics team. Provide guidance and support to foster skill development, career growth, and a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Data Strategy Implementation: Align data analytics initiatives with the organization's overall data strategy. Work closely with leadership to ensure that data analytics efforts are aligned with business objectives and priorities.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Forge strong partnerships with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and priorities. Collaborate closely to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business value and inform decision-making.
  • Value-Added Recommendations: Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for senior executive audiences. Develop compelling narratives, visualizations, and presentations to communicate insights and drive alignment on key strategic initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the data analytics team. Regularly assess and optimize processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.

Expertise:

  • Domain expertise: Across Operations and Finance functions and tools. Expert knowledge in end-to-end transaction lifecycle process.
  • Change management: Large, complex implementations and transformation program expertise in finance and or operations.
  • Data Migration: Extensive knowledge in migration techniques and tools to ensure seamless transition of data from legacy to new GL platform.
  • Process Improvement: Extensive knowledge of process improvement with a track record of streamlining operational or finance process.
  • General ledger Expertise: Good understanding of GL, systems, their functionalities, and best practice implementing.
  • Business Knowledge: Knowledge of both Markets and Banking products from transaction booking to cash settlement and controls therein.
