I am working with a scale-up Travel company they are founder lead and after a strong two years, they are looking to expand the team and are looking for a Digital Marketer/Growth Marketer with broad digital/performance marketing &CRO experience to lead their digital acquisition strategy. Their focus is currently on Paid Social (mostly meta with some Tiktok) but they want to expand their channels to cover PPC and any other channels that could lead to greater customer acquisition. This is a hands on role so requires someone who knows how to drive a good CPA through digital channels.

This role will lead the digital marketing activities for two of their major destinations, This role will primarily be responsible for acquiring new customers covering Paid Social & Search predominantly as well as providing insights and recommendations for the wider digital Marketing strategy.

They are looking for a tenacious Digital Marketing Manager/Growth Marketing who is looking for a challenging role, they have a great foundation but need someone to build upon it. They are in an incredibly competitive space so they have to be incredibly agile and be constantly out manoeuvring their competition.

This role will focus on the delivery of performance marketing. You will need great communication and relationship-building skills as you will be working with multiple internal teams plus our external agency and media partners. You will also be responsible for the development and success of our team of digital specialists.

Heading up the digital team you will work closely with the Marketing Director to shape and deliver the digital strategy to increase leads and good quality drive traffic. This role requires an analytical thinker keen on monitoring ROI, who can bring ideas and have the drive to see both large and small projects through to fruition.

The company is rapidly expanding and keen to invest in digital. As part of the digital team, you will champion the value of Digital work with stakeholders to enable growth across the business.

The role will be based in their Brixton offices – 2 days per week (Wednesday & another day in the week) and be responsible for: 

  • Ownership over destination sales growth for thier existing destinations/events and helping launch new experiences and products.
  • Create paid advertising strategy and run all paid digital advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, Tiktok and any emerging platforms such as Pinterest, Snapchat etc.
  • Continually audit and improve our marketing and analytics tracking to ensure consistent and reliable data, debugging and solving any issues with the support of our developers where required.
  • Create and manage a website conversion rate optimisation (CRO) strategy, implementing an ongoing testing regime to understand and improve key macro and micro conversions and ultimately improve the effectiveness of our marketing funnels.
  • Work with our analytics platforms as well as session recording and variant testing tools to attribute revenue to marketing efforts, provide insights to the business on customer behaviour, and uncover opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Create and operate a systematic approach to experimenting with marketing/growth ideas and rapidly scaling successful ones.
  • Collaborate with content marketer with technical SEO guidance (eg information schemas) and in analysing keyword opportunities. Collaborate with content marketer on content strategy and analysis to improve content provided for advertising purposes.

The Digital Marketing Manager role requires the following experience: 

  • A solid knowledge in digital / growth marketing and experience line managing a colleague (ideally).
  • Media Buying: Extensive experience in developing, executing, scaling and optimising Meta ad accounts with spends above £100k per month. Additional experience with TikTok, Google, Snapchat ect is a bonus. 
  • Technical: Ability to work with websites, tag managers, ad platforms and to setup and test data flows and rectify any issues. Can interface effectively with developers to solve complicated issues. Knowledge of privacy limitations on tracking and basic technical SEO requirements.
  • Analytics & Data Science: Evidence of working with analytics software to attribute revenue to marketing efforts, understand user behaviour and use insights to drive action on improving conversion rates and marketing efficiency. Must have experience in Google Analytics, GTM and CRM/CDPs. Ideally has experience in some of the following: SQL, Tableau, Mixpanel.
  • Scientific Marketing: Experience using scientific approaches to marketing; managing hypotheses and experiments that when systematically executed can uncover opportunities. 
  • Customer Understanding & Psychology: ability to understand and empathise with our customers and target audiences, and utilise psychological principles to get people to take actions like registering or purchasing.
  • Organisation Of Complexity: effective in the organisation of complex combinations of options for paid marketing (e.g. combinations of copy, creative, platforms, placements, audiences, landing pages).
  • Copy Editing: Ability to edit copy to focus on conversion.
  • Email/SMS: Experience creating and optimising automated and campaign-based email and SMS to drive action and conversions.
