We are supporting a leading organisation in the search for a Procurement Governance & Digital Manager, a pivotal role that blends strategy, governance, and digital transformation.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will take ownership of procurement policies, compliance, reporting, supplier governance, and operational efficiency through data analytics and technology implementation.
This organisation operates in a complex, highly regulated environment and is currently undergoing a significant transformation, having transitioned from a publicly traded company to private equity ownership.
With an ever-evolving procurement function, this role requires someone adaptable, commercially minded, and able to pivot to meet new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Governance & Compliance – Own procurement policies, ensuring minimal day-to-day effort while maintaining best practices. Lead compliance reporting and engage with internal audit.
- Data & Analytics – Develop and manage procurement KPIs, SLAs, and spend analytics to support cost-saving initiatives and team performance tracking.
- Technology Strategy & Implementation – Build business cases for procurement technology investments, such as a Source-to-Contract (S2C) or Source-to-Pay (S2P) system. Assess whether existing technology is fit for purpose.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with internal teams, including Facilities, HR, Finance, and Leadership, ensuring procurement aligns with business strategy.
- Audit & Risk Management – Work closely with compliance, internal audit, and ESG teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Supplier & Outsourcing Governance – Manage governance meetings, outsourcing processes, and material supplier oversight.
- Special Projects & Continuous Improvement – Address emerging challenges, such as regulatory changes (e.g., PRA updates), and ensure smooth handoffs with third-party risk management teams.
- Strong experience in procurement governance, policy setting, and compliance within financial services or a regulated industry.
- Expertise in digital procurement transformation, including building business cases for technology investments.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to build data packs, report on KPIs/SLAs, and support governance meetings.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
- Consulting mindset, ability to develop and implement solutions rather than simply identifying problems.
- Background in procurement operations, risk management, and internal audit processes.
- Experience in a fast-changing environment where priorities shift frequently.
- Salary: Up to £85,000
- Bonus: 20% (consistently paid out)
- Pension: 10% employer contribution (non-contributory)
