A Life in a Day creates uniquely immersive, 24-hour experiences designed to help participants understand what it’s like to live with a specific disease or condition. Through a blend of interactive challenges delivered via a mobile app, live role-play scenarios, and physical kits, participants are guided to "walk in a patient’s shoes" and make real-life choices that mirror the issues faced by those living with the condition. This unique approach fosters deep empathy and insight, with participants often noting the transformative impact of the experience on their perspectives and professional approaches.
The Junior Digital Designer role offers a unique opportunity to actively contribute by creating, developing, and refining digital design materials that enhance the immersive quality of our experiences, playing a key part in bringing our vision to life.
You’ll also be exposed to (and have many opportunities to learn) all aspects of our creative process, from research to final delivery, in collaboration with our experienced Creative Leads.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Digital Designer:
- Support Creative Development: Assist in the creation and delivery of new experiences - an ideal opportunity to develop your own experience and skills.
- Digital Design & Multimedia Production: Design and refine digital assets, including graphics, audio, video, 3D/AR elements, and multimedia content that enhance the immersive experience.
- Kit and Prop Creation: Help design and produce physical kit items (e.g., leaflets, labels, props) to support experiential storytelling.
- Creative Collaboration: Participate in brainstorming sessions to identify innovative and impactful ways to convey therapeutic experiences.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Participate in testing experiences to ensure they are emotive, challenging, and practical for participants.
Ideal Skills & Experience:
- Creative & Visual Experience: Demonstrated ability to create content that engages and captivates audiences, with a strong creative flair.
- Design Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and other design platforms, with added value in multimedia production.
- Tech Savviness: Confidence in working with app software (no coding/programming skills required) and digital tools.
- Organizational Skills: Strong project organization and task management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability & Eagerness to Learn: Open-minded, agile, and receptive to developing a range of skills for immersive experience creation.
- Independence: We are a 100% remote working business. You must be comfortable and able to work independently from home, with the ability to integrate with core teams within the business. Please note that there will be an occasional need to travel to London for team/company meetings (including two annual social events!)
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively across team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail & Quality: Keen eye for detail in producing high-quality, impactful content across visual, audio, and written media.
