MERJE are supporting a boutique Private Equity firm in their search for a Compliance Associate in London.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day compliance monitoring program within a small legal and compliance team, engaging in a diverse range of tasks. Key responsibilities include identifying and evaluating current and future regulatory changes, formulating policies and guidance to safeguard the firm's reputation, and ensuring thorough compliance with regulations and investment mandates.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

  • experience in a compliance role within an Asset Management environment (1-3 years)
  • relationship-building skills with the ability to engage proactively with portfolio managers and colleagues at all levels
  • knowledge of the FCA’s regulatory rules relevant to asset managers
  • attention to detail and strong analytical skills, capable of logical thinking, using initiative, and systematically resolving problems
  • self-supportive, and motivated in fostering a positive compliance culture
  • in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • report writing and presentation skills
  • academic background (relevant compliance qualifications such as CISI desirable)
