MERJE has partnered with a leading multi-strategy investment firm and we’re on the lookout for a talented Compliance Officer join their London team. This role supports a team of two experienced Compliance specialists and will focussed on helping them establish a robust EMEA Legal and Compliance platform as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance monitoring program
  • Code of ethics/personal account dealing monitoring
  • Market abuse trade surveillance
  • Support compliance framework for new products and markets
  • Senior Managers and Certification Regime compliance
  • Oversee MiFID 2 research
  • Best execution monitoring

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of relevant compliance experience, ideally gained in a buy-side firm
  • Strong understanding of UK and EU regulatory requirements (including FCA Handbook rules, particularly relating to MiFID 2 requirements)
  • Undergraduate degree with relevant certifications (e.g., CISI, CFA, FRM)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Proactive and thrives in a complex, dynamic environment
  • Exercises sound commercial judgement
  • Team player with strong ethical standards and high integrity
