Join our client, a prominent banking organisation, as their Wholesale Compliance Officer and play a key role in ensuring compliance with the UK regulatory regime. As part of their dedicated Compliance team, you will have the opportunity to have a significant impact on their operations and contribute to the development and enhancement of their Compliance framework.Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive advice on regulatory requirements and their impact on our client's operations.Interpret and communicate complex regulatory changes to members of the Compliance Department, branch management, and key stakeholders.Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure proper regulatory advice aligned with regulatory requirements.Collaborate with the Regulatory Horizon scanning function to provide timely updates on regulatory changes.Assist in developing and implementing a robust compliance framework tailored to the size and complexity of our client's business.Address any deficiencies in compliance with regulatory obligations and provide guidance to branch management.Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing Compliance policies and procedures.Investigate and report regulatory breaches, initiating necessary remedial actions.Foster a strong Compliance culture and holistic view of compliance risks within the organisation.Create training materials on key regulatory updates and changes.Support the Head of Department, Deputy Head of Department, and General Manager in compliance-related duties.Qualifications & Experience:Minimum of 7 years of experience demonstrating a strong understanding of the UK regulatory regime.Good working technical regulatory knowledge of Wholesale Banking regulations, including MiFID, EMIR, DGS, and LIBOR.Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and provide implementation advice.Excellent understanding of current and anticipated UK regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations.Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.Proactive and able to make sound Compliance decisions.Key Stakeholders:- Internal: Collaborate with members across the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Lines of Defence, as well as relevant staff and the Head Office.- External: Engage with supervisory authorities such as the FCA, PRA, and JFSA, and relevant third parties.Opportunity awaits you at our client's organisation.
